1. What is the counselor to camper ratio?
1 counselor to every 5-6 campers
2. What are the ages of the counselors?
18 and up. College Students
3. Where do we get our counselor staff?
a. Most were previous campers with us
b. We recruit specialist from colleges and get some from International
Agencies.
4. What about your programs?
Our daily schedule consists of group and individual activities (electives),
as well as team sports in every area. Every counselor is a college student,
many of whom were former Westmont campers. Division Leaders (adult teachers)
and a large group of adult specialists and coaches create a secure and
safe environment for your child.
5. What about Trips?
a. We go on many off camp trips. Movies, bowling, pizza parties, ball
games and one day trip to Dorney Park and lower camp goes to Camelback
Beach & Park.
b. Our 6th graders go to Hershey Park
c. Our 7th graders go on an overnight to Hershey Park and the Amish
Country
d. Our 8th graders go to Boston for 3 days
e. Our 9th & 10th graders go to either Toronto or Baltimore &
Washington for 4 days
f. Our 11th graders go on a 4 day trip to Cleveland
g. All of our 3 & 4 day trips include places of interest –
ex. Science museums, Quincy Market, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and
a Baseball Game.
6. Is the swimming Pool Heated?
Our Olympic sized swimming pool is heated and lit for evening swims.

What is your philosophy regarding sports?
Every sports period is taught by a specialist in that area. A skill is taught
each period. For camp teams – every camper who wants to represent the
camp and play on a travel team is encouraged to play. There are no tryouts.
8. What is the food like?
a. We have a modern kitchen and dining room. We serve cafeteria style.
b. We have waiters & waitresses to bring out drinks and desserts.
c. There is always a choice of an entrée or a pasta.
d. We put out a fully stocked salad bar every lunch and dinner.
9. What about the infirmary?
We have a doctor and 4 nurses who live on the grounds.
10. Is there a canteen fund?
We have a canteen fund of $295 for the summer of 2004. The check is
made out to your child and monies are given to them for off camp trips.
We keep a full account of the money spent.
11. What are your phone call policies?
In June you are sent the dates and approximate times your child will
call home. Approximately 4 calls per summer.
12. What about letters?
Campers are expected to write 2-3 times a week. This includes postal
letters and e-mail.
13. What is your package policy?
We allow 3 packages per camper per summer – Each package MUST
have our camp label on it.
