1. What is the counselor to camper ratio?

1 counselor to every 5-6 campers

2. What are the ages of the counselors?

18 and up. College Students

3. What is the food like?

a. We have a modern kitchen and dining room. We serve cafeteria style.
b. We have waiters & waitresses to bring out drinks and desserts.
c. There is always a choice of an entrée or a pasta.
d. We put out a fully stocked salad bar every lunch and dinner.

4. Do I need lifeguard training before I come to camp?

No, but you must have swimming credentials.

5. What kind of special training will I need before camp?

We will provide the training that you need at orientation.

6. Will I have access to the Internet?

Yes, on your time off.

7. Am I allowed to have a cell phone?

Cell phones are allowed but typically do not work from our location. The camp is not responsible for loss or damage to cell phones.

8. Can I have visitors?

Yes, on your day off only.

9. What should I bring to camp?

We will provide you with a clothing list.

10. Do I need to have insurance?

Yes.

11. Will I receive a higher salary if I have specific certifications?

Yes. We encourage counselors to get any appropriate certifications by national training agencies.

12. Where is Camp Westmont?

Camp Westmont is located two and a half hours from New York City in the foothills of the Endlers Mountains.

13. What is the weather like?

Temperature ranges between 70 and 85 degrees during the day.

14. How will I do laundry?

Laundry is done at camp by our laundry staff.

15. Is there a camp uniform?

Yes. 3 staff shirts will be provided to you at orientation.

16. How many days off will I have?

You get six days off per season.
