GPS Directions:

We understand that most people prefer to rely on GPS when travelling. PLEASE NOTE: Poyntelle may not appear on your GPS so you should enter Lakewood, PA as the city and state. We also highly recommend printing out these directions and having them with you just in case your GPS fails. You can always call the Camp Office from the road if you need help. (570) 448-2500

From New York City:

Take the New York State Thurway (I-87) north to Exit 16 (Harriman). Follow Route 17 West for approximately 95 miles to Exit 87 (the second Hancock Exit – do not take 87A). Turn left at the stop sign and another left onto Route 97. Go 1/10 of a mile and make the first right after passing a gas station. Follow the road around to the stop sign. Make a right onto Route 191 (go over the train tracks and the bridge). Follow 191 for approx. 1 mile. Make a right onto 370. Continue on 370 for approximately 12 miles. The Camp Westmont sign will be on your right (just after the Village of Poyntelle sign).

From Westchester:

Take the Governor Mario Cuomo Bridge to the New York State Thruway North. Follow the directions from NYC above.

From Connecticut:

Take I-84 West towards Middletown (through Newburgh). Take Route 17 West. Follow the directions from NYC above.

From Philadelphia:

Take the North East Extension of the PA Turnpike to Exit 37. Take Route 81 North to Route 6 East through Carbondale, PA. Make a left onto Route 171 North. Continue on Route 171 for approximately 15 miles. After passing Arlo’s Gas and Country Store make a right turn onto Route 370 East. Go approximately 4 ½ miles to Camp Westmont sign on left side.

From New Jersey:

Take the George Washington Bridge-80W (towards the Delaware water gap). Stay on route 80W for approximately 87 miles to exit 293 (Route 380N). Take 380N approximately 20 miles to exit “Route 6E-Carbondale.” Take 6E to exit 7 (Carbondale business district). The exit will be on the left side of the road, make a left off the exit ramp and go approx. ½ mile to first right (Canon St). Go on Canon Street to full stop and make a left. Go down hill to end and make a right onto Route 171. Stay on Route 171 for approximately 15 miles and make a right onto Route 370. Take Route 370 for 4 ½ miles. Camp Westmont will be on your left.

From Baltimore:

Take 1-95 to 695 West. Take 695 West to 83 North (towards York & Harrisburg). Take 83 North (towards Wilkes-Barre and Scranton). Take 81 North to Route 6 East through Carbondale, Pa, Make a left onto Route 171 North. Continue on Route 171 for approximately 15 miles. After passing Arlo’s Gas and Country Store make a right turn onto Route 370 East. Go approximately 4 ½ miles to Camp Westmont sign on left side.
